         The biggest reason companies and individuals are hesitant about getting a website is because they are not sure what the website will cost or what it will entirely entail.

         We came up with a breakdown of what it would cost to develop and launch your own website. There are three separate costs associated with developing your own website:
  1. The first component of the website is the domain name or web address (www.yourname.com). The Domain Name is the registered name for your business/entity/etc. and costs between $10 - $25 depending on the company you register with.
  2. The third and last component of having your very own website is web hosting. Web hosting is simply renting space on someone's server (storage computer). The server is connected to the world wide web and runs 24/7. Web hosting prices range in price depending on the amount of storage space you need (large sites may contain a larg amount of files, images, software, etc.) and need more space. A small business that didn't need much space would pay less. An average site will often cost about $25 a month.
  3. The third and last component of having a website is the web design. Web Design is the actual creation of a web site. This is the most difficult and time consuming part of the Web Site process. So much work gets put into a site that you often put off getting a website. Because different companies have different needs, a quote is often needed to estimated the cost of the site.
